Some of the Made in Canada tech tools I use – and why supporting Canadian tech matters!
There’s a movement happening across the country—and I’m here for it.
Call it ‘Buy Canadian’. Call it ‘Tech Sovereignty’. Call it national pride. Whatever you call it, the message is clear: Canadian tech is having a moment—and the voices behind it are growing louder, bolder, and more ambitious.
This blog marks the launch of our new Canadian Tech Loving Beaver, the latest member of our Haunted Zoo x WEtech collaboration.
We’re entering an era where choosing Canadian-made products and services—especially in tech—isn’t just about patriotism. It’s about performance, security, talent, and investing in our own innovation economy.
DYK: Canada’s tech sector punches above its weight—contributing over $125 billion to the national GDP and employing more than 812,000 people directly in 2023. Broaden the lens, and net tech employment across all sectors hit 1.35 million in 2022, with growth expected to have reached 1.37 million in 2023. (Source: ISED)
