Five Regional Women Founders to Celebrate During International Women’s Month
Every year on March 8, the world celebrates the economic, social, cultural, and political achievements of women on International Women’s Day.
Inspired by this initiative, Invest Ottawa and partners launched International Women’s Month (IWM).
Throughout the entire month, individuals and organizations join forces with the same goal: to inspire, equip and empower more women. At WEtech Alliance, we are honoured to participate in the celebration and take immense pride in supporting a diverse portfolio of women, women-identifying and nonbinary founders. We currently work with over 60 women-led companies, each making a transformative impact in their respective fields.
In honour of this global celebration of women’s contributions, we’re excited to highlight five incredible women entrepreneurs who are breaking barriers and shaping the future of innovation:

Users can effortlessly upload property details, photos, and contact information, reaching a wide audience and establishing direct connections with potential renters.

Emily Johnson, Founder and Creative Director, StrongerU Senior Fitness
StrongerU Senior Fitness is an innovative fitness education company whose purpose is to empower recreation, fitness, and wellness professionals and senior-serving organizations. We provide education, tools, and resources so that you can deliver high-quality, dynamic, and effective fitness experiences to the older adults you serve.

Kyla Bardwell & Julie Edwards, Co-Founders, Storefront Stays
Storefront Stays is the connection between brick and mortar businesses (hosts) and local entrepreneurs. Storefront Stays is a website that allows host businesses to advertise underused space for rent to entrepreneurs looking to test the market, sell their product without the overhead costs of a brick and mortar store or expand their business. Entrepreneurs will have access to rent: pop-up shop locations, display units, signage, parking lots, industrial kitchens and more.

Muna Fadel, Founder, Alchemist Athletics
